Wallet(s) - Cash, Coin & Card Carry.
It may seem a little excessive to have three different types of wallet, but there is a method behind the madness. I will always remember a story that my Father told me one day when I was very young about how he and his brothers used to get their pocket money. My Dad and his Eldest brother just used to ask for one big shiny coin to cover their allowance for the week, whereas the middle Brother used to ask for 5 smaller coins to make up the same denomination as his siblings. The exact value of the weekly pocket money is not important, but my Father told me one day that the reason the middle Brother asked for 5 coins was simple, it was so that he could take one coin and put it straight into his piggy bank, leaving four remaining coins. Out of those 4 remaining coins, if he lost one he still had three left, whereas if my Father or his other Brother lost one, they had lost everything!
So, I have been carrying three wallets for just the same reason for about 7 years now, and the value in doing this proved itself a few months ago when I inadvertently dropped my card holder (the Maxpedition slimline wallet) on the floor while putting my shoes on (don't ask!) I drove approx. 8 miles away from my house to do some shopping, got to the till and found my card wallet was missing. Instead of having the totally embarrassing situation like you see so often of a person having to leave their entire basket behind and walk off sheepishly, I was able to take out my notes holder and coin wallet and cover the cost of the shopping before heading home again, job done nice and easy.
